Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to set up energy and cost efficient installations to meet sustainability targets by remotely feeding power over ethernet (PoE).It applies to individuals with a range of telecommunication skills who install and configure thin client applications to enable PoE on a low powered workstation.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in the telecommunications – sustainability field of work and include access to: a site on which remote power feeding applications can be implemented relevant documentation, feasibility studies and equipment manuals. Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational education and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards. |
